Edge Academy COVID-19 Safety Plan:

  1. Social distancing will be constantly directed.  There will be designated fan spots. Parents will not be allowed along the 1st and 3rd base lines.  If you need to speak with a coach, please contact them by phone or email.
  2. Players will only drink from their own bottles.  There will be no water provided. It is your responsibility to pack your child their own drink and snack. No sunflower seeds.
  3. Dugouts will not be used in the same manner.  They will only be used for one of the on deck batters. This will allow for 1 on deck batter and one other batter to be in the traditional dugout. Players will be seated outside 6 ft apart down the 1st and 3rd baselines and will be clearly marked.
  4. Umpire will call the game from behind the mound and wear a mask when necessary
  5. No sharing of bats or any equipment
  6. Baseballs will be disinfected between innings
  7. Teams will be asked to meet and not enter a field until the other teams are off.
  8. Parents/spectators are also asked to maintain distancing at all times
  9. We will be providing hand sanitizer.  Players will be required to use this when entering the facility and when coming on and off the field.
  10. The dugouts and bathroom will be cleaned after every game.
  11. There will be no hand shaking amongst coaches or players after the game.
  12. Practices will also practice these safety guidelines.
  13. A coach will use a mask if coming into contact or discussing anything in close contact with a player.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this process.  We will be looking for parent volunteers to help maintain a safe environment during the season.  This situation is fluid and we will adapt to it as we proceed.  If you are willing to assist, please alert your coach.  I will be reaching out to coaches for their team’s helpers.
