Game Speed is designed to put high school players in an environment which is as close to an actual game as possible.

This event allows players to take their training to a whole new level! Take all of the hard work, make some adjustments, get professional feedback, and apply it in a game like environment. It will run 6 weeks to prepare players for the upcoming season.

Pitchers will increase pitch counts, catchers will increase innings, and hitters will also increase their live at bats as the program gets further along. Players will get immediate feedback every week! They will also have the freedom to try implementing tweaks and adjustments to their game without the repercussions of hurting their team! This is a great opportunity to face some high level competition and see if you measure up to some of our State's best baseball players.

The program will focus on:

  1. Throwing controlled bullpen sessions with a hitter in box
  2. Focus on the important aspects of pitching (controllable outcomes)
  3. Work with Mike D'Andrea on pitching mechanics, pitch selections and locations.

  1. Be able to be evaluated in live pitching situation
  2. Get live plate appearances before the regular season starts
  3. Work with instructors to make in-game adjustments

  1. Be able to work with advanced pitchers.
  2. Be able to work catcher/pitcher relationship before the season starts
  3. Work on setting up, framing and blocking balls

Game Speed will run on Wednesday nights from 7:30-9:00 pm and starts on February 1st. Again, it is a 6-week program and we are limiting the number of participants for the program. We will participate the Wednesday of February vacation.

Cost = $300 per player for one skill. $345 per player for 2 or more skills. Skills include pitch, hit, and catch.

Dates: Jan 31st, Feb 7,14,21,28 March 8th

There will be limited spots available, and we are capping this program at 30 players.

Ryan Kolben - Greely High School - UMass Amherst- ”Game speed offered me a chance to get a head start on the season by seeing live pitchers and different pitches. Starting in a 2 -1 count made me more aggressive in the box. The ball looks faster indoors, making me decide what I wanted to do quicker preparing me for the season.”

Cody Bowker- Thornton Academy -Georgetown-  “Gamespeed allows me to see live pitching and throw live pitching before the season starts. This is my time to make mistakes and try new things before the season starts.”

Zack Johnston- Greely High School- Wake Forest- “Game speed is a great way to get ahead of the competition. Getting indoors and pitching to live hitters is great because it allows me to see what’s working already with hitters and what I need to work on. The atmosphere when game speed is going on is great, people are cheering and getting hyped up and it’s just super great for getting ahead for the season. Super fun and an electric factory.”
